BLOOM WITH A FLORAL SUBSCRIPTION

Cupid himself could not have been more delighted with the legions of love-struck customers who procured their Valentine’s Day posies from Bell and Trunk Flowers this year. After a slow 2020 without the usual wedding and event work, our fingers and toes were crossed for a successful holiday, and after 12 years in the business, this was the best one yet in every way.

We had more online orders and walk-ins than ever before
; the Ecuadorian roses from North Bay Wholesale were fresh and gorgeous; and our small, seasoned team of florists did some of our best work ever. In fact, it was good news for the majority of flower shops across the country: 80 percent had an increase in Valentine's Day sales this year according to Society of American Florists. Which makes sense. Lovers were having those romantic candlelight dinners at home rather than at a fancy AirBNB. Nothing like a fresh bouquet to spice up a home-cooked meal. And while romance and social distancing may not be the ideal combination, plenty of our customers sent fragrant florets to help maintain relationships from afar.

Why stop there? Bell and Trunk now offers a subscription service to keep your home or office in full bloom. Set it up for weekly, bi-weekly or monthly delivery, we will keep your home or office space blooming. For the cost of a medium arrangement, we absorb the tax and delivery fee for a savings of more than $20 each time. And there is no risk—subscribers can pause or cancel anytime.

Our customers inspire us with the thoughtfulness and generosity they practice in their daily lives.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

International Women’s Day is March 8th. As the sole proprietor of Bell and Trunk, I truly appreciate this year’s theme, "Choose to Challenge. A challenged world is an alert world. Individually, we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions all day and every day. We can choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world.” It's been gratifying to own and run a successful business. I would not be here if it weren't for the educators in my life who've helped to inform my decisions. I owe a debt of gratitude to my support network who show up when times are hard. Most importantly, I cherish my customers who enable me to do what I love for a living. Thanks everybody!

Love,
Vanessa
