Flower Arranging Classes

Arranging flowers isn’t rocket science. All it takes is some snips, a container of water and fresh flowers. However, there is so much more that goes into creating a professional-looking flower arrangement than meets the eye. Bell and Trunk has been sharing its experience with budding floral designers for the past several years. We cover everything from selecting the best flowers, choosing the right color palette, and artfully putting it all together with consideration to style, movement and texture.

Our design philosophy is pretty simple. We don’t ask students to put together cookie-cutter-style arrangements. We teach students the skills to come up with a masterpiece that is truly their own. The creative process comes from within and is reflected in a design as unique as the individual who created it. We teach students the rules so that they can decide which ones to break!

Students leave our floral arranging classes with so much more than a vase full of artfully crafted flowers. Not only do we provide skills to “wow” guests with an expertly designed centerpiece at a dinner party, we help people connect to themselves and each other through what we playfully call “flower therapy”. We have been hired to do team-building exercises at corporate retreats, community building events for condo residents, and as educational opportunities for various organizations. Our classes provide great entertainment for bridal and wedding showers, and are popular auction items for galas and other fund-raising opportunities.

How it works:

In person: You give us a date, time location, and number of students. We show up with flowers, ready to teach! The cost for 1 and 1/2 hours of in-person instruction is $250. This includes a tutorial on the fundamentals of flower arranging, a demo, and hands-on assistance. We try to give every student some personal attention to make sure they’re happy with their floral creations before they leave. Cost per student for flowers and materials is between $40-$200. Our minimum cost per class (including instruction) is $1000)

Over zoom: You give us a date, time location and number of students. We deliver bundles of flowers and send out a zoom link. The cost for 40 minutes of zoom instruction is $150. This includes a tutorial on the fundamentals of flower arranging, a demo, and a question and answer session at the end. Cost per student is between $40-$200. Our minimum cost per class (including instruction) is $1000). Delivery fee is an additional $15-$50 depending on size of delivery and location.
